Cruz has just arrived in the country to complete a media tour and performances in various cities across the Dominican Republic. Carlos Cruz was born in the Dominican Republic. He became interested in music at the age of six and began his journey by singing seasonal rhythms, later participating in television programs such as 7x7 Roberto, Sábado de Corporán, and others.
During his teenage years, he entered the hospitality industry, where he had the chance to join musical bands in hotel complexes where he worked for six consecutive years, gaining significant experience.
During this time, he was repeatedly invited to perform in Europe, visiting stages in Belgium, the Netherlands, and towns near Germany.
In 2001, he decided to settle in Toronto, where he formed the group Los Humildes de la Bachata, achieving notable success due to his style and creativity. He quickly received recognition and affection from the public, who dubbed him “Toronto’s Bachata King.”
He has shared stages with artists such as Proyecto Uno, Coco Band, DLG, Edie Santiago, Ivee Queen, La Máquina, Álvaro Torres, and opened a concert for Aventura before the group disbanded.
